Amanda Trappes-Lomax

amanda trappes lomaxChartered Legal Executive, Family Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer

Bonallack and Bishop has benefitted from Amanda’s expertise in all areas of family law since 1998. With vast experience as a Chartered Legal Executive working in family law, Amanda is an asset to the firm and its clients.

Amanda is comfortable in any area of family law and fully understands the difficulties faced by her clients and their children. In recognition of the strain that a family issue or relationship breakdown has upon clients’ emotions and finances, Amanda seeks to resolve matters with minimal stress and maximal efficiency.

Despite being a skilled advocate in Court, Amanda recognises that in sensitive family law cases, her clients may prefer a less litigious method of solving their problems. It is therefore her aim to make proceedings as good-natured and cost-effective as possible. Amanda’s expertise in these areas is highlighted by her position as a Member of Resolution, and as a Resolution trained Family Mediator and Collaborative Lawyer.

Her commitment to clients both in the UK and abroad is such that she has been known to provide Skype and other video-call services for clients who cannot see her personally. This service has been particularly useful to her clients in the armed forces and Amanda now has particular experience with military divorces. She is similarly adept at dealing with cases including farmers, a result of her farming family history. However, Amanda has successfully represented clients from wide-ranging professions.

In addition to representing clients overseas, Amanda sees clients in both our Salisbury and Amesbury offices.

Professional Expertise

Divorce, civil partnership dissolution, cohabitation, division of assets, child custody arrangements and injunctions. Amanda knows all areas of family law.

Away from the Office

When Amanda finds time to relax, she likes to spend it near the sea, whether body boarding in Cornwall or walking the paths of the South coast. During her time working in Australia she also proved how tough she is by abseiling down the Sydney Opera House, showing that she’s no pushover!
